Three Generation Local Business

In 1959, A.H. McCarty opened his own typewriter repair business known as McCarty Office Machines, Inc. Under the leadership of his son, Jim McCarty, McCarty’s grew in size and product offerings to include office supplies, furniture, janitorial supplies, printing and many other office related services. Business equipment offerings have expanded to include Canon copiers and networked multifunction machines and service for those machines.


Focusing on the expansion of its Southeast Kansas trade area, McCarty’s acquired a Coffeyville, Kansas based office supply store in 2001. This strategic location allowed McCarty’s to expand its trade area to include Northeast Oklahoma. In 2015, McCarty’s acquired a third location, Iola Office Supply in Iola, Kansas.

In January 2017, James McCarty became the current owner and president of the company. Under his leadership, we have grown our IT services which include: managed IT, backup solutions including cloud backup and cloud services, Microsoft 365, remote managed services. We offer our Network assessment so our customers will know what services they may need. These services flow well with our copier service and repairs for our customers. This adds to our ability to keep offering our old fashioned customer service for small town businesses in more areas.
